Synergist, PhysioAI's AI tutor for physiotherapy, is now available as an app inside ChatGPT. This article explains how to connect it, what you can ask, how answers and practice MCQs work, and what happens to your account data.

## Key takeaways

- Open Apps in ChatGPT, search PhysioAI, tap Connect and sign in with your PhysioAI account. It takes under a minute.
- Type @PhysioAI in a chat and ask any physiotherapy study, licensing exam or career question.
- Answers come in Rapid mode by default. Say "deep study" in your message for a full structured explanation.
- Every answer ends with a practice MCQ, and you can ask for today's Daily Dose inside ChatGPT.
- The connection is read-only, your password is never shared with ChatGPT, and the content is educational only.

## Why bring Synergist into ChatGPT

Many physiotherapy students already use ChatGPT every day. Synergist in ChatGPT puts a physio-specific tutor inside that same chat, so you do not have to switch apps to revise. You use the same account as the PhysioAI app.

## How to connect it

1. Go to ChatGPT and open **Apps** from the sidebar.
2. Search for **PhysioAI**.
3. Tap the PhysioAI app, then **Connect**.
4. Sign in to your PhysioAI account with email, Google or Apple on the PhysioAI sign-in page.
5. Start a chat and type **@PhysioAI** followed by your question.

A PhysioAI account is required. If you signed up in the app with Google or Apple, use the same option when you connect.

## What an answer looks like

Ask "@PhysioAI explain the Lachman test vs the anterior drawer test" and Synergist replies right inside your ChatGPT chat, in a PhysioAI card. A Rapid answer covers the key points:

- **Lachman test:** performed with the knee at 20 to 30 degrees of flexion. It is the most sensitive test for ACL tears.
- **Anterior drawer test:** performed with the knee at 90 degrees. Hamstring guarding can hide a tear.
- **Exam tip:** for an acute injury, pick Lachman.

Or ask for "quick NPTE revision on Brunnstrom stages" and you get the six stages of stroke recovery, from flaccidity to isolated movement, with the point that spasticity peaks at stage 3, when movement is possible only in synergy patterns.

Rapid answers can also come back as a study card with the key takeaway, condition cards, key tests, red flags and a "where it hurts" body map for the knee, shoulder, hip, lumbar spine and ankle/foot.

## Every answer ends with a practice MCQ

After the explanation, Synergist gives you one exam-style question with four options. For the ACL example, it might ask which test is most sensitive for an acute ACL tear, with options such as the anterior drawer test, the Lachman test, the McMurray test and the Apley grind test.

Tap an option to see the correct answer and why. If you want more practice, ask for another MCQ or a full practice set on the same topic.

## Rapid or Deep Study

You choose how much depth you want.

- **Rapid** is the default. It gives short, exam-ready revision.
- **Deep Study** gives a full structured explanation for viva and clinical placements. Say "deep study" in your message to switch, for example: "Give me a detailed Deep Study explanation of ACL reconstruction rehab, phase by phase."

## Built for physio, not for everything

Synergist in ChatGPT is focused on physiotherapy and allied health. You can ask about:

- Anatomy and biomechanics
- Musculoskeletal, neurological and cardiorespiratory physiotherapy
- Paediatrics and sports rehabilitation
- Special tests, assessment frameworks, red flags and contraindications
- Revision for NPTE, CPTE, DHA, HAAD/DOH, Prometric and university exams
- Licensing pathways and working as a physio abroad, for example in Dubai, Canada or the US

## Your Daily Dose, in ChatGPT

Ask Synergist for today's daily dose and it opens the same set of exam-style MCQs that the PhysioAI app shows that day. The exam focus rotates, covering NPTE, CPTE, DHA, DOH and APC, so you can keep your daily practice habit without leaving the chat.

## Safe by design

- **Your password stays with PhysioAI.** Sign-in uses OAuth, and ChatGPT never sees your password.
- **Read only.** The app answers questions. It never creates, changes or deletes your data. Only your account ID, name and email are used to identify you.
- **For learning.** Synergist provides educational content only. It does not diagnose, treat or give medical advice for real patients.

A fair-use limit of 50 questions per account per day applies, and it resets every day (UTC). To disconnect, remove PhysioAI from your ChatGPT app settings.

## How to try it

Search for PhysioAI in ChatGPT Apps and connect your account. Setup steps, example prompts, troubleshooting and the Claude connector are documented on the [PhysioAI for ChatGPT and Claude](https://physioai.in/ai-apps) page. For the full Synergist experience, including file uploads and saved chats, use the PhysioAI app.
